Immediately after the fibre installation is completed, the area becomes Ready for Service (RFS). At that point, the Telecommunications Provider can begin offering its services using the newer fibre optic technology. You can contact the Telecommunications Provider to start the service.
Additionally, after construction is completed, the next phase is property restoration. We strive on returning the areas affected during construction within the Utility Right of Way to its original condition.
Property restoration typically includes:
- Soft Surface Remediation (SSR): Restoring landscaped areas such as lawns, topsoil, seed/hydroseeding to the disturbed soft surfaces.
- Hard Surface Remediation (HSR): Repairing or replacing hard surfaces that were affected, such as asphalt, concrete, core holes, sidewalks or other paved areas.
The goal is to restore the work area as closely as possible to its pre-construction condition, while ensuring the completed fibre infrastructure remains protected and accessible for future maintenance if needed.
