Thank you for your interest in getting fibre.
The process to request fibre depends on whether you are the homeowner, tenant or building/property manager and the type of property where you would like fibre installed.
How Do I Get Fibre Service?
I Am a Homeowner
If you are located in Alberta or British Columbia, please complete the F3 Permission Consent Form to provide permission for a fibre drop to your property.
If you are located in Ontario, please reach out to TELUS directly.
I am a Tenant
We appreciate your interest in fibre service. If you rent your home or unit and would like fibre installed, please contact your landlord or property/building manager.
Your landlord or building manager must provide consent or submit a request for fibre installation before we can proceed.
I Am a Building Manager or Property Manager
Please use our Request Form to submit a fibre request. Our team will review the information provided and follow up with you.
What Happens After I Submit My Request?
If you are a homeowner, your request will be reviewed and fibre will be installed when construction crews are working in your area. Once construction is complete, you will be able to subscribe to fibre service through an available service provider.
If you are a building or property manager, our team will review the site and follow up with the next steps. Your building will be eligible for fibre service once construction has been completed.
The Fibre Installation Process
The installation process varies depending on the type of property and whether fibre infrastructure is already available nearby.
1. Review and Planning
Our team will review your request and assess the requirements for bringing fibre service to your property.
2. Construction
Construction work will be required to extend service to your property.
This may include underground or aerial fiber installation. Temporary impacts to landscaping or other areas may occur during construction.
3. Property Connection
Once fibre is available at your property, our team will complete the necessary work to connect your home or building to the fibre network.
4. Installation and Activation
Once the network connection is complete, a technician from the fibre service provider will complete the final installation and activate your service.
How long does it take to get fibre?
Timelines vary depending on your location, property type, construction requirements, weather conditions, and scheduling availability.
Do I need approval to install fibre?
If you are a tenant, approval from your landlord or property/building manager is required before fibre installation can proceed.
Can a building manager request fiber for an entire building?
Yes. Building managers or property managers can submit a request for fiber installation for their property
