During the construction process, existing utilities are marked multiple times with flags or spray paint to ensure safety and accuracy before and during installation. Main underground conduit paths will be placed in the Utility Right-of-Way using directional drilling to minimize surface disruption. In certain areas a service box will be placed at grade in the Utility Right-of-Way.
Initially, a round green container will be placed in the Utility Right-of-Way to hold the fiber optic cable. No work will be performed on your property until permission is granted. Once you request fiber installation to your home, the green container will be removed, and the conduit holding the fiber will be extended to your residence using directional drilling or a narrow hydrovac trench.
Our crews handle all work carefully and comply strictly with municipal regulations to keep disturbance to a minimum. After active construction in your area is complete, utility flags will be removed, and the remediation process will begin - restoring the impacted area to its original condition with grass seed or hydroseed.
